ABOUT

Design is all around us, shaping our everyday experiences. Designers have both the power and the responsibility to make a lasting, positive impact through thoughtful and intentional work. Sustainable and society-focused design are both meaningful steps towards creating that change.

As a graduate designer, Charlotte has specialised in furniture design. She believes in designing to make a difference by making design accessible to all. The most direct way to do this is through social design; be it designing for a community, urban design or as part of a reintegration scheme. Her placement year working for the Belgian National Rail service, up-cycling train waste in collaboration with a reintegration design studio played a big part in forming her as a social designer. Charlotte has a very hands on approach to design. She goes from designing to prototyping and making, meaning there is an in-depth understanding of materials and how they work.
